I hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday! We had what I'm pretty sure was the Christmas to beat all Christmases. There was nothing fancy or exciting about it. We were just complete. All four of us. Our matching stockings with our names on them. The four of us opening gifts under our gigantic perfect tree (seriously we will never have a better tree, I'm sure of it). Nate was thrilled. Jake was confused. It was just awesome. Here are the boys as they open their gifts:
(Note: Jakey isn't as terrified of his new caterpillar as he looks in this photo. I promise.)
I have one resolution for the year (although I don't really consider it a resolution, it's more of a project). I hope to take one photo every day in order to chronicle the little every day things that happen in this life that I forget. You can see the photos in my Flickr stream on the right. I don't claim to be a photographer and this isn't meant as some artsy, photojournalistic endeavor. It's just my only little visual diary of our year.
I say goodbye to 2010 with so much joy as it's the year our family became whole. But I look forward to 2011 with hope and faith for what lies ahead. I look forward to sharing it with my dear friends and family!
