For now, some reflection on my crazy cat lady ways. I was walking down my hall the other day and my 'oldest' cat Hobbs was in front of me when she suddenly did this weird hop/side-step.
Now, those of you who have been to my house know of Hobbs but probably have not seen her. She's very shy. Some would say standoff-ish. Others would say words about her that I won't repeat. I defend Hobbs because she is my baby- I adore this cat more than I can explain. I always thought it was because she came into my life at a really rough time and somehow- all 1 1/2 pounds of gray fluff- made everything ok again.
But I realized as I watched her recover from this awkward moment, that I love this cat because we are so much alike. Hobbs is quiet (ok so we don't have that in common), but loyal to those her love her and her trust is easily broken. She loves her snacks. And naps. And most importantly, she looks like she's some pretty, all put together girl, but when it comes down to it she's nothing but a big dorky klutz. Who takes painting the bedroom very seriously.
Wow, that cat has some really beautiful eyes...but they are just a little scary!
